of the said five years and you will then be provided with a free passage back to England. If re-engaged you will be placed on the pen- sionable establishment of the Colony, your
previous service counting for pension,

your salary will after six years service
counting from your arrival in HongKong, be
raised to £150 a year.

It is also to be understood that
your services will be available in any hospita
in the Colony, though you will in the first
instance be employed in the Government Civil
Hospital.
5.
It will be necessary for you to
express your acceptance of the conditions
stated in this letter before your selection
can be completed. In other respects you
will be subject to the Colonial Regulations
in force for the time being, which are
published.
